The PCB team met with CA Maldives to discuss the implementation roadmap for IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability standards. This move is crucial for strengthening governance, enhancing transparency, and improving the long-term accountability of Maldivian SOEs.
The PCB Team, led by PCB President Mohamed Anas and Director Usaidh Asadhulla, along with other Monitoring & Evaluation Team Members, held a key strategic meeting with the Technical and Standards Committee of CA Maldives on 20th November 2025. The focus of our discussion was the critical roadmap for the implementation of IFRS S1 and S2 (General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and Climate-related Disclosures) across the Maldives.
This collaborative effort is crucial for enhancing transparency and governance, particularly within our State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). It underscores the shared commitment of both the PCB and CA Maldives to ensuring robust, internationally aligned standards for sustainability reporting, which is vital for the long-term resilience and accountability of our economy.
