PCB conducted a training on "Disclosure and Reporting" for company secretaries in collaboration with Public Finance Institute , MoF. The aim of this training is to familiarize CG Code requirements and best practices on Disclosure and Reporting. The sessions were facilitated by PCB Chief Governance Specialist, Ms Nasira Iqbal. The contents covered in the training includes;

• Role and responsibilities of Company Secretaries
• Board meeting etiquettes and procedures
• Reporting requirements and deadlines
• Disclosure requirements on company websites
• Components of Annual Report and Drafting
• Procedures to conduct AGMs

A total of 20 participants were certified after successful completion of the training. PCB targets to conduct similar nature of trainings in the future too. This interactive sessions enriched participant's knowledge on the importance of transparency and disclosure to stakeholders. This training is a part of our SAP 2024 -2028 and its strategic goals to enhance corporate governance across SOEs sector, Maldives.
